A large assembly hall and significant lifting capacity enable heavy recycling equipment to be built and fully tested at the Heinola facility prior to installation. Apron Feeder
RecTec’s steel apron conveyor is a heavy‑duty feeding solution engineered for extreme operating conditions. The lamella conveyor enables the integration of large buffer storage with a reliable and precisely controllable feed to the processing line. Efficient line operation depends entirely on a reliable feeding system because every process is only as good as its feed. The RecTec lamella conveyor is designed to withstand heavy wear and demanding material flows such as wood chips, construction waste, and scrap metal. It is also an excellent match for sensor‑based sorting systems that require controlled and consistent material feeding.
More durable and efficient than previous solutions, the lamella conveyor is increasingly replacing older technologies in modern plants, such as:
- Vibratory feeders
- Screw feeders
- Belt feeders

- Planetary gearbox or hydraulic motor for precise speed and feed control
- Rubber‑sealed aprons prevent fine material ingress and related process disturbances

Belt conveyor
RecTec belt conveyors are reliable, durable and safe. Conveyor selection is based on material flow characteristics and required capacity. Available configurations:
- Roller conveyor
- Slide side conveyor
- Slide bottom conveyor
Essential cleaning equipment, dust protection and statutory shields are tailored according to process and site requirements.
Sorting
RecTec’s sorting solutions improve ergonomics, occupational safety and productivity.
The width and material of the sorting belt are selected according to the amount of material to be sorted and the size of the piece. The top of the conveyor can be provided with a rising front. For safety and temperature reasons, the funnels are fitted with a shut-off valve.
The sorting room can be equipped with underfloor heating, ventilation, air heat pump and work-appropriate lighting.
Material bin
Metal bins integrated into the processing line (outdoor use)
Steel bunkers are a cost‑effective and flexible alternative to concrete structures.
Benefits:
- Easy emptying with a wheel loader
- Requires less space than traditional concrete bunkers
- Faster installation and easier integration into process lines
Weighing
Weighing can be implemented as a certified scale suitable for commercial use.
Operating principle:
- Material is conveyed via a belt conveyor to a distribution conveyor that can be driven in two directions.
- From the transfer conveyor, the material falls (eg 3 m³) into the weighing vessel
Identical weighing vessels and weighing equipment are installed at both ends.
As the material fills the weighing vessel up to the adjusted weight or surface limit, the transfer conveyor reverses and begins to fill another weighing vessel. - The weight of the full weighing vessel shall be recorded automatically in the totalizing balance.
- Empty the weighing pan by opening the bottom slider.The container is emptied on a belt conveyor which conveys the product further in the process.
This solution improves material flow control and reduces process interruptions.
Sampler
The RecTecs sampler enables reliable material quality monitoring. The sampler travels along a linear guide below the belt conveyor´s drop point and collects a material sample for analysis.
The sampling vessel moves along the linear guide at adjusted speed, or the sample can be operated manually.
Wheel press
RecTec’s tyre press enables the removal of tyres from rims without manual work. Designed to be integrated into material handling machinery, it improves recycling efficiency through:
- Safe and fast operation
- Low maintenance costs
- Capacity of up to 120 tyres per hour
Hammer and ring crusher
Developed specifically for versatile crushing applications.
- Two rotors for optimal crushing of different raw materials.
- Hydraulically opening screens for chip size control
- Durable design and effective oversize removal for continuous, efficient production
We also manufacture conventional ring and pre-crushers.
Rotary feeder
Custom‑designed rotary feeders engineered to handle abrasive materials and large pieces.
Air separation system
